ARIAN holds 2000 man match awareness campaign tomorrow

Over 2000 insurance operators and stakeholders will tomorrow participate in the awareness match organised by the Association of Registered Insurance Agents of Nigeria (ARIAN), Inspen has learnt.

The President of ARIAN Olamerun Gbadebo; at a press parley today in Lagos said the match will takeoff from the Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode office in Alausa Ikeja and halts at the under the bridge in Ikeja. He noted that the exercise would provide opportunities for staff of insurance companies to educate and sell their products.

According to him, the Nigerian Police would be around to provide security, whilst the Federal Road Safety Corps will help regulate traffic and make way for other road users.

He noted that staff of the Fire Service and other stakeholders will attend the event, stressing that the operators will also pay a courtesy visit to the governor of Lagos state and the Speaker of the State’s House of Assembly.

Gbadebo noted that this period of economic recession remains the best time to buy insurance, adding that it is often difficult to replace lost items in times of recession.

The General Secretary of the Association, Babalola Ajala, urged the public to use insurance to protect their valuable especially this time of recession.

He maintained that prices of goods have in recent times gone up, thereby making it difficult to replace any lost item.

The Internal Auditor, Adeyemi Catherine, urged motorists and the general public to patronise genuine insurance companies when buying their insurances, adding that claims can only be paid to those with genuine insurance papers.
