Insurance doyen, Elder Oniwinde’s son bags AIIN

Insurance elder statesman Elder (Dr) Adelani Kehinde Oniwinde is in a joyous mood as his second son Adebayo Oniwinde was among the 138 new inductees that were awarded Associateship by examination of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN) at a ceremony on 6 December 2018 at Ikeja Lagos State.

Adebayo who already holds an MSC in HR Management from University of West London has had several years experience in administration, property development and investment before deciding much later in his career to follow his father’s footsteps and pursue insurance.

You may recall that Elder Dr Oniwinde’s first son Babajide Oniwinde the former NAICOM Deputy Director Corporate strategy is also a Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute London.

Elder Dr Oniwinde who was present at the induction ceremony is proud about his son’s achievement. The insurance doyen is a Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII), London and Chartered insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN). He also holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Ogun State University. He is a Council Member of The Insurance Institute of Nigeria. He sits on the Board of several companies. He retired at the level of the Vice Executive Chairman of Niger Insurance Plc, where he worked for 23 years.
