Insurance expert Olatunji Oluyemi buries father

It was a moment of joy and sober reflection as the Managing Partner, Tespauruth Consulting Limited, Olatunji Oluyemi, gave his late father Pa. Simeon Oluyemi a befitting burial.

Pa. Oluyemi, was 88 years when he transited to glory on December 10, 2019. While he was alive, he worked in different sectors of the economy and impacted many lives.

Prominent amongst the positions he held were, National Sales Manager, Lever Brothers Nigeria Limited, now Unilever Plc; Manager, Cadbury Nigeria Limited and Marketing Manager, Shell Petroleum.

The burial ceremony started with lying in state at 15, Dipo Olubi Street, Near Kilo Hotel, Ikate, Surulere, Lagos. Thereafter, a funeral Mass was held in his honour at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, near NEPA Bus Stop, Aguda, Surulere, Lagos. Interment followed at New Ikoyi Cemetery and reception took place at Island Club Onikan, Lagos.

The Officiating and Parish Priest of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, Rev. FR. Augustine Okhuelegbe, eulogized the deceased, stating that he was a godly man, philanthropist and faithful believer in Christ.

He implored people to give their lives to God, stressing that those in the world living without an encounter with God, have nothing as they would die living all their worldly wealth behind.

“We must learn to do good for they will count for us. It is our prayers to spend eternity with God after our sojourn on earth,” he said.

Olatunji in a tribute, said his late father was a father to be desired by all, as he loved his family and all around him.

“When the travails of life came knocking at my door, he was my rock till the end. My precious dad, you are the best, I know the reception given to you in heaven is the one given to Angels. I will never forget your very intense prayers for me towards the end. Sleep on dad, you live forever in our hearts,” he said.
