She noted that the Total Accrued pension rights paid by the State Government from August 2015 to January, 2016 is N10. 652 billion, adding that the Accrued pension rights are gratuity and pension entitlements due to staff who transited to the contributory pension scheme but had served under the “Pay As You Go” Pension scheme dispensation.

She also advised, that the beneficiaries should be wary of fraudsters and not accept any business proposal they don’t understand. “If you cannot think of any business at the moment, keep your money in fixed deposit accounts with banks”, she admonished.

In appreciation, the retirees who were beaming with smiles and laughter thanked the Management and staff of the office for the warm reception accorded them each time they visit the Office and collectively prayed for the administration of Akinwunmi Ambode, who they described as being compassionate.

“We would wish the kind gesture of paying pension monthly continues, so that it would come to the turns of other colleagues until everyone is cleared”, they said.
