Pension operators are anxiously awaiting new investment windows to open in the transportation sector, Inspen can report.

The President, Pension Fund Operators Association of Nigeria (PenOp) Eguarekhide Longe, who disclosed this said, “I have never seen anybody who come up with a product on how to deliver better transportation services, railways, roads, bus services, even concessions on aviation. All of these things would be slow in coming, but they will come and when they come, we would be ready to access and invest.”

He noted that such feats have been attained in other climes, adding that in more developed nations, pension funds are invested in real estates, roads, bridges, water system and more.

He lauded the feats so far achieved, stressing that the industry is heading in the right direction.
