DBS Bank India has entered into a partnership with Bharti AXA to offer a complimentary insurance plan for its DBS Treasures customers in India.
The complimentary insurance plan covers all medical conditions, including COVID-19 and up to 10 days of hospitalisation, with a cover of INR5000 ($70) per day, for a period of 30 days.
New initiatives to support COVID-19 relief measures
Apart from the complimentary insurance plan, the bank’s customers can purchase health insurance products that are currently offered on the digibank app through its general insurance partners.
The bank is offering an emergency global medical assist programme to its non-resident Indian (NRI) customers that provides 24×7 access to medical support – including guarantee of payments for hospitalisation and arrangement of emergency medical evacuation for NRIs with dependents in the country. In order to help with the wellbeing and safety of its customers, the bank is adding an anti-microbial coating across all its ATMs and biometric devices.

DBS bank executive director Priyashis Das said that the bank recognised the importance of extending its support to customers during this critical time. “In view of the evolving situation with COVID- 19, the insurance scheme is designed to give our customers peace of mind if they seek medical treatment, knowing that they are protected.”
DBS has enhanced its community support measures for customers globally by offering complimentary COVID-19 insurance coverage.
