Insurance Brokers of Nigeria Limited, has adopted a identity. It is now IBN Limited.

The Chairman of the firm, which is the pioneer broking company in Nigeria, Dr. Adekunle Ojora, at the unveiling of the new identity in Lagos yesterday, said whilst the company remains with the same team of talented leaders and client-facing professionals, its new brand identity is a resurgence of its commitment to clients that the firm will be in existence for another 62 years, as truly independent and focused on helping clients venture boldly with confidence and maximize opportunities created from their enterprises.

He maintained that the firm looks at its clients as partners and friends, stressing that whilst many people may see gloom in the Nigerian economy of today, the firm’s 62 years of experience teaches the owners to see new vistas of opportunities to be explored.

The Chairman of the event, Chief Emeka Anyaoku, congratulated the firm for the giant strides recorded in the past 62 years of operations. He urged Nigerians, especially, small business owners to embrace insurance and called on the board and management of IBN Limited to remain innovative, steadfast and committed not to only satisfying the needs of their various clients, but also in the forefront of taking insurance and risk management in Nigeria to loftier heights.

The Executive Vice Chairman, IBN Limited, Prosper Okpue, said the firm has deployed in excess of N10 billion premium into the Nigerian insurance market, adding that the leverage ensures that the firm has access to key decision makers of all insurance companies to negotiate the best deal for its clients whether on programmed pricing, robust cover or claims settlement.

He said the new identity marks the commencement of a new phase for the firm, stressing that the firm is focused on maintaining its gains over the last six decades, while exploring new frontiers.

“Over the years, our clients hardly refer to us by our full name, Insurance Brokers of Nigeria and our new brand identity is our response to what our clients refer to us: “IBN”.” He said.

Okpue noted that the IBN brand colour is Earth and Gold, very African and Global. He added that the new brand colour represents the firm’s stability as an organisation, experience, knowledge, value proposition and relentless drive to possibilities.

According to him, the new logo ‘IBN’ stands for: Letter “I” is Insurance and risk management; “B” stands for Broker with the trunk of an African Elephant, depicting evolution, resilience, strength, memory, knowledge and capability and “N” stands for Nigeria our dear country, with unalloyed patriotism and belief in the possibilities of our great nation.

“We have been here for 62 years and will be here another 62 years. Our new IBN brand identity is a demonstration of our resolve to continue to serve our clients, with our knowledge of the past, present and our ability to bring the future today,” he said.
