Staff laud AIICO’s work from home initiative

Employees of AIICO Insurance Plc., have applauded the work from home initiative put in place by the firm.

Commenting on the initiative, a member of staff, Oluseun Odubanjo, said: “We thank AIICO management for the privilege and concern expressed to its employees. No doubt, the sensitivity of management to employee’s needs, challenges is next to none.

“Employees, having been armed with working tools can showcase their brilliancy and skills and turn in deliverables without necessarily being physically present in the office. We are indeed grateful.”

Another member of staff, Pat Dikey, said: This is highly welcomed. Good Management good thinking, I always have confidence in our managerial team. Staff can work without stress and deliver perfectly well. Thank you AIICO management.”

AIICO Insurance, had yesterday announced its decision to extend its work from home policy to allow more of its employees work from home till January 2021.

The underwriting said currently about 50 per cent of its workforce work from home, while others enjoy the flexibility of running weekly rotation as a social distancing measure.

It noted that in view of the recent shutdown of the Third Mainland Bridge and its effects on movements across Lagos, the management has deemed it fit to allow majority of its employees take advantage of the work from home arrangement.
