The Universal Insurance Plc, the Champions Newspapers Limited 2019 Best Innovative Insurance Company of the Year Award winner, has joined the array of well-wishers, professional colleagues, friends, the entire insurance business community as well as associates of Mr Sunday Thomas in felicitating with him on his confirmation as the substantive Commissioner for Insurance (CFI) and Chief Executive Officer of the National Insurance Commission (NAICOM) by His Excellency, President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR.
The Company in a letter sent to the Commissioner and signed by the Board Chairman, Lt. Gen. Joshua Dogonyaro, CFR, Mni and the MD/CEO, Mr. Ben Ujoatuonu, which was made available to the media, described Mr. Thomas as the man perfectly fit for the job and wished the new CFI a happy and successful tenure in office.
The letter noted that the Federal Government could not have made a better choice as Mr. Thomas remains the perfect fit and the right man to drive the industry on the path to excellence and professionalism given his wealth of experience in the Industry.
It went further to state that the Company trust, that under his great leadership, wisdom and guidance, NAICOM will strive to much greater heights and the Nigerian Insurance Industry will come to be at par with its peers in the world in terms of performance and functionality and assured of their full co-operation in his drive to achieve his dreams for the industry.
“Once again, we reiterate our sincere congratulations to you on this wonderful and very important appointment” the letter concluded.
