Council of Chiefs,

Members of the Governing Council, Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria

Gentlemen of the Press

Your Majesty, It is with gratitude that I say thank you for accepting us on this courtesy visit. I feel very proud and honoured to be in this historic palace with the Governing Council members of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria; the premier Professional Body in Nigeria. We are grateful that you have taken time out from your very busy schedule to see us.

There is peace in your realm and so your majesty, we must commend you for the good work you have done in maintaining the peace and unity of your people. We have been warmly received since we have arrived in this town and even our Chapter chairman speaks glowingly of the warmth of the people of Ibadan. I believe the head dictates the actions of the other parts of the body and I know this warmth flows from the top. May your reign of peace be long and fruitful.

Most importantly we are here for you to bestow your Royal Blessings upon us for the program we are set to execute here in Ibadan, Oyo State.

The Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN) is the body established by statute to determine the standard of skill and knowledge required for the professional and ethical practice of the business of insurance in Nigeria. Part of our mandate is to actively drive Insurance awareness and spread the gospel of insurance far and wide as our tentacles can extend to. The education seminar, which is the primary reason why we are in your domain, is one of the platforms
which we use to achieve our goals and objectives. We are hopeful that our activities here educate more people, inspire them to embrace insurance as a service and most importantly for the younger ones to embrace insurance as a profession.

Your Majesty, I would leverage on this occasion to implore you to encourage your subjects to embrace insurance because embracing insurance is the only true way through which the people can “Live with Freedom”. We are soliciting for your support to drive the news about insurance to all nooks and crannies of Oyo State. Together, we can promote the Insurance Industry to greater heights.

We will also use this opportunity to specially invite you to grace the opening ceremony of 2018 Education Seminar with your regal presence. The opening ceremony of the forum will take place at the Premier Hotel Ibadan on the 8th of November 2018. The event will commence by 9am. We will be delighted to have you within our midst.

Your Majesty, with this visit, we acknowledge with a deep sense of pride, your achievements and accomplishments over the years. Your support for development initiatives within your kingdom and beyond, is the hallmark of a true leader and we are grateful for the opportunity to be associated with you.

Our prayer is that you live a long and glorious life and that you will continue reign with wisdom for the growth and good of your people.

Kabiyesi O!!!

MR. EDDIE EFEKOHA FCII, FIIN
President/Chairman of Council
Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria
