Today, we gather not only to celebrate a transition but also to acknowledge the journey of our esteemed Institution. It has been my profound honor to serve as the President/Chairman of Council of the foremost Insurance Institute in Nigeria over the past two years.
This role has been both a challenge and a privilege, filled with moments that have reinforced my faith in the power of our collective dedication and expertise.
As I stand before you today, my heart is filled with gratitude. Gratitude for the unwavering support of our members, the tireless efforts of our dedicated staff, and the invaluable contributions of our partners and stakeholders.
Together, we have navigated through challenges, celebrated successes, and continuously strived to elevate the standards and practices within our industry.On Wednesday, July 17, 2024, the valedictory lecture for my tenure was held and I was able to appreciate everyone at that event.
It is with utmost pleasure to now use this opportunity to once again publicly appreciate the Doyen of Insurance, Olola Olabode Ogunlana, MFR and the royal father of today’s event, Alake of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo for their support during my tenure.
I say a big thank you to them and as a show of my appreciation to them, I respectfully request that should please be prepared to receive a token plaque from me, which shall be presented to them after this speech.
Our mission has always been clear: to provide world-class manpower with the highest standard of professional and ethical training for operating effectively and efficiently in the Nigerian and international business environment.
I am proud of what we have achieved together. We have expanded our educational programs, increased our membership, and strengthened our voice within the broader industry.
These accomplishments are a testament to the commitment and hard work of each and every one of you.
Today marks a new chapter in our Institute’s journey. It is with great pleasure that I introduce to you the newly elected president, Mrs. Yetunde Olubunmi Ilori, FIIN. Mrs. Yetunde Ilori brings a wealth of experience, a visionary mindset, and an unwavering dedication to our mission.
I have no doubt that under her leadership, the Institute will reach new heights and continue to thrive.
Mrs. Ilori, as you step into this role, know that you have my full support and the support of our entire Council and Industry. Your vision for the future, your commitment to innovation, and your passion for this industry will undoubtedly guide us toward continued success.
I am confident that you will lead with integrity, inspire with your actions, and uphold the values that define our Institute.
To our members, I urge you to continue your active engagement and support. The strength of our Institute lies in our collective efforts and shared commitment to excellence.
Let us embrace this new era with enthusiasm and a renewed sense of purpose.In closing, I want to express my deepest appreciation to each of you for the trust you placed in me. Serving as your president has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my professional life.
