Speech presented at the December edition of Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance Brokers Members’ Evening by the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Enterprise Life Assurance Company Limited, Mrs. Funmi Omo on Tuesday, December 7,2021.

The President, Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance Brokers (NCRIB), Barrister Rotimi Edu, MNI, Executives NCRIB, distinguished, ladies and gentlemen!

All protocols observed.

On behalf of Enterprise Life Assurance Nigeria, I would like to thank you for the honour and privilege of hosting tonight’s members’ evening.

Looking back at the previous year, the COVID-19 pandemic and loss of human life worldwide, one cannot help but feel a deep sense of gratitude to the Almighty for being here today. It is indeed a privilege to be able to come together physically, to meet, interact and share.

Although the pandemic has resulted in severe disruption and economic fallout, the crisis has also acted as a catalyst for some positive change. Like other industries affected by the pandemic, insurance companies have been forced to consider how we operate and to focus on becoming more agile and digital.

The crisis has highlighted how technology adoption can be used to digitize operations, service provision and deepen insurance penetration.

In March this year, Enterprise Life made a bold entry into the Nigerian market poised to make a difference; bringing along with it, extensive cross-border experience defined by years of excellent service delivery in the life insurance industry, and commitment to the lives of people.

Enterprise Life Nigeria is a member of the Enterprise Group Plc, headquartered in Ghana with an outstanding heritage dating close to a century. Enterprise Group takes its roots from the oldest Insurance Company in Ghana, established in 1924. Enterprise Group is a publicly listed financial services company with a host of operating companies, each providing innovative and relevant insurance solutions across the continent.

Enterprise Life Nigeria is resolute in delivering value by heightening insurance awareness, optimizing digitization to improve access and leveraging low-cost digital distribution channels for sales and service in order to deepen market penetration.

Our mantra, Different & Better is premised on our mandate to make a significant difference in the insurance industry and serve our customers. At Enterprise Life, we keep the customer at the front and center of our business.

We are intentional about implementing a new model that prioritizes a needs-based approach to insurance which ensures that our solutions are affordable and truly fit-for-purpose. Our core values are Friendliness, Reliability, Excellence, Professionalism and Trust.

Our tailored-made services and innovative life assurance products are designed to ensure that Nigerians benefit from having insurance coverage to cater for their loved ones and their future.

For decades, the Nigerian insurance industry has endured poor public perception, leading to low insurance penetration and lack of trust. Our goal at Enterprise Life is to meet changing customer needs with new offerings, enhance interactions and build trusted relationships and strategic alliances.

Today, we are here to formally introduce Enterprise Life Nigeria to you. We recognize and appreciate the unique role that brokers play not just as intermediaries but, trusted business advisors and partners.

Enterprise Life is indeed excited about this opportunity to collaborate with the Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance Brokers (NCRIB) and forge a lasting and mutually beneficial relationship.

It is our hope that together, we can foster a formidable partnership that ensures that Nigerians benefit from having insurance coverage that is truly different and better.

Thank you!
