The Contributory Pension Scheme (CPS) has recorded N10.01 million Retirement Savings Account (RSA) holders as at the end of June, 2023.
National Pension Commission (PenCom) stated this in its unaudited report on pension funds industry portfolio for the period ended June 30, 2023, adding the the pension fund assets stood at N16.76 trillion.
PenCom noted that the fund gained N654.33 billion between end of May and June 2023.
The pension industry regulator submitted that N10.86 trillion of the N16.76 trillion fund assets were invested in Federal Government of Nigeria securities.
The breakdown according to PenCom revealed that N10.41 trillion was invested in Federal Government bonds; treasure bill got, N192.43 billion; agency bonds, N12.15 billion; sukku bonds, N15234 billion and green bonds N96.72 billion.
