CIIN opens entries for April 2022 professional examination today

The Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN), today opens entries online at http://www.ciinigeria.com for interested persons within and outside insurance industry to enter for April 2022 professional examination of the institute.

According to the CIIN, entries will commence on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 and end on Monday, January 31, 2022, while late registration will be from Tuesday, February 1 to Sunday, February 13, 2022.

The Director-General of CIIN, Mrs. Abimbola Tiamiyu, in a document entitled: ‘Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria April 2022 Examination’ said persons desirous of sitting for the institute’s examination are required as pre-requisite to register as members of the institute.

She noted that candidates seeking to commence the examination must have passed the SSCE or GCE examinations with credits in five subjects including English Language and Mathematics at not more that two sittings.

On the fees, she said student membership fee (new members) is N4,000; annual subscription, N3,000; building fee, as applicable; annual library fee, N2,000; exemption fee (same as course fee); non-refundable entry fee, N12,500; transcript fee, N10,000 (within Nigeria) and N20,000 outside Nigeria; chief examiners’ report, N1,000
and foundation (F01-F08) course fee, N7,500.

Other fees are; foundation coursebook, N2,500; intermediate coursebook, N4,000; intermediate (101-109) course fee, N9,500; diploma course fee, N9,500; advance diploma course fee, N15,000; late entry fee, N5,000; change of examination centre fee, N5,000 and change of course fee, N5,000.

The Director-General said international candidates also have the same timelines, except that the fee is in Dollars.

She noted that the rebates on fees are available to undergraduates of any discipline from NUC accredited institution in Nigeria and that candidates are required to pay all outstanding fees and levies to be considered as fully registered for the diet.

According to her, course books are available at the secretariat, while tutorial classes are advised.

Request for change of subject and/or centre, she maintained would not be entertained after Sunday, February 13, 2022, adding that withdrawal from examination after Sunday, February 13, 2022, would lead to the forfeiture of all fees paid for the examination and that application for exemptions should be forwarded to the secretariat for central processing.

According to the Institute, the results for October 2021 examinations have been released.

Making this known in a statement, the Director-General, Mrs Abimbola Tiamiyu, on behalf of the President/Chairman in Council, Sir. Muftau Oyegunle, congratulates all qualifiers from the diet examination and appreciates every party and individual involved in the process.

The 55th Edition of the Institute’s Examination was held from Monday 4thth to Friday, 8th October 2021 in all our Centres Nationwide, Banjul, The Gambia, Cameroon and Kigali, she submitted.

She noted that the Institute has zero tolerance for any form of compromise in its examination process and has ensured that the integrity of the examination process is not compromised in any way.

To this effect, she said all the various incident reports were appropriately dealt with by Council and they attracted various degrees of Council approved sanctions as the Institute has zero tolerance for any form of examination malpractice, adding that the sanctions ranged from withholding of the results, candidates being required to present themselves to the investigative panel for more detailed investigations to outright cancellations of results among others.

She advised candidates to check their results online.
