A former Director of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN) Norbert Enuoye has bowed out, after 23 years and five months of selfless and dedicated service to the Institute.
President/Chairman of , Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria Edwin Igbiti, at the retirement celebration event, held recently in Lagos, charged staff members of the Institute on meritorious service.
The President appreciated staff members of the insurance institute for their commitment and dedication towards delivering quality services to its members.
“The Secretariat family is a reflection of the Institute and the Industry at large, you as employees of the Secretariat must portray a good image of the insurance industry, your service should speak impact not just to yourselves but to your clients” Igbiti submitted.
He acknowledged that the Institute is a member-based Institute that promotes insurance education and awareness, hence, must not relent in its course, rather it should embrace professionalism and ensure practitioners observe total diligence in discharging their services.
He stated that staff members should observe the code of ethics in dealing with members.
“Be efficient in your service delivery, we must ensure our members are satisfied with the quality of the service delivered to them. They are the sole shareholder of our Institute.
Enuonye, while appreciating the Institute Council and Management team noted that working at the Secretariat was one good thing that happened to him. He further mentioned that this celebration organised to honour him happens to be the best day of his life.
He joined the Institute on October 1, 2000 as a Superintendent and rose through the ranks to the position of a Director.
As for the Registrar of the Institute, Mrs. Abimbola Tiamiyu, she described Norbert as a generous man, whose charisma and humility earned the worthwhile celebration.
Some of his colleagues described him as a man of virtue whose service will linger in the Secretariat for a while.
The celebration ended with games, the dance floor was opened for staff members to merry as well as they gathered to wine and dine
