Health management organisation, Hallmark HMO, a subsidiary of Consolidated Hallmark Insurance PLC, has announced the completion of Abimbola Adebakin’s extraordinary tenure on its board of directors.

Adebakin, a renowned management professional, played a crucial role in shaping Hallmark HMO’s strategies, fostering its growth, and enhancing its commitment to providing exceptional healthcare services.

As a pioneer independent board director of Hallmark HMO, Adebakin brought her brilliance and peerless insights into the health sector, leveraging her management consulting background and strategic focus to impact the growth of the organisation.

During her tenure as the Chairman, Strategy & Business Development Committee, Adebakin contributed invaluable expertise and unwavering dedication to the growth and aspirations of Hallmark HMO that impacted its overall performance. Her strategic vision and deep understanding of the healthcare industry helped the organisation navigate through challenges and emerge as a formidable brand in the sector.

At a recent intimate ceremony to send her forth, the Chairman of Hallmark HMO board, Eddy Efekoha, said: “Adebakin’s outstanding leadership and commitment to our organisation have been instrumental in our success.” She reaffirmed her vision for healthcare financing in Africa, with the strong belief that pooling funds is the way to go. “Africa can indeed leapfrog with transparent and strategic management of large deep pools of funding to repair aspects of the healthcare system that need attention,” Adebakin stressed.

Adebakin thanked the Chairman, other board members, and senior managers of the parent company, Consolidated Hallmark Insurance PLC, for the warmth the CHI family has extended to her promising to remain an ambassador of the company.

Abimbola Adebakin is the Founder/CEO of award-winning pharma tech venture, Advantage Health Africa, enabling access to affordable and quality medicines across Nigeria. She has received recognition of her innovation by Google Black Founders Fund, Bayer Foundation, Ashoka & Boehringer Ingelheim, as well as the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation powered i3 (Investing in Innovation).

Adebakin was the pioneer Chief Operating Officer (COO) for the Tony Elumelu Foundation, where she helped to shape the largest philanthropic investment in entrepreneurs across the whole of Africa.

She is the PR Secretary for Healthcare Federation of Nigeria (HFN) and facilitates at the Institute of Directors (IoD). Her early career was in Accenture and later at the FITC. She is an ardent proponent of the role of boards in growing strong businesses in Africa.
