The Chartered Insurance Institute London and Risk Analyst Consultants (UK) Limited, have launched a 5-day Oil & Gas/Energy Insurance Course, aimed at strengthening the intellectual capacity of insurance professionals in the energy sector.
The event will hold from August 7 -11, 2023, at the Iconic Fenchurch Building in London, with a fee of £1,999.
Dr. Funmi Babington-Ashaye, said the programme would be delivered by the CII’s network of subject matter experts, stressing that the tutors are highly qualified, with decades of practical experience.
She said the training would feature, interactive modules, discussions, exercises, group work and visits to interesting places in London such as Bank of England, Lloyds of London and London Guildhall.
She noted that letter of invitations would be issued to attendees in need to support their visa application and certificate of attendance at the completion of the course, adding that in addition, attendees would also be entitled to Continuous Professional Development (CPD) of 30 credits after the course.
She posited that attendees would gain insight on introduction to insurance, risk management and underwriting; legal and regulatory framework affecting energy insurance industry; international oil & gas/energy marketplace and risk profiles.
They would also know more on insurance coverage: London market and overseas market forms; distribution and spread of insurance risk; oil and gas/energy insurance claims and reinsurance and climate change, the future and insurtech.
