Cornerstone Insurance Plc has hosted distinguished insurance brokers to appreciate them for continuous support to its operations.
The event, which held in Lagos, brought together valued partners to celebrate a year of collaboration marked by shared successes.
The Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Cornerstone Insurance Stephen Alangbo, addressed the audience with a message of gratitude, acknowledging the significant role the brokers play in the company’s journey.
Alangbo stated, “We want to appreciate all of you for supporting us this far. There were challenges that confronted us, and you stood by us. Today, we are waxing stronger thanks to your collaboration with us.
”Recognizing Cornerstone’s reputation as a leader in the African insurance industry.
“Today, we can say Cornerstone Insurance is the number one company in Africa; it is all because of you, and that is why we felt it is good for us to come present the award to you, and celebrate you for standing by us.”
He also highlighted plans to explore further opportunities and deepen the company’s partnership with brokers in the coming year.
President of the Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance Brokers (NCRIB) Prince Babatunde Oguntade in his remarks, applauded Cornerstone’s exceptional track record, urging brokers and customers to continue their partnership with the company, he said, “When we see a good thing, we share the good news of companies that are doing very well, and Cornerstone has topped the list. We congratulate you and confirm that you are doing well, but it can be better. We see that some customers see you as their delight.
”The keynote speaker for the event, Chief Consultant at B.A Adedipe Associates Ltd, Abiodun Adedipe, emphasized the importance of quality service in attracting new business.
“When we talk of growing your share in the market, it is about being fixated on growth. That’s key – as you grow, you become bigger, attracting clients who, in turn, bring others to you,” he explained.
Charles Nwachukwu, General Manager, Business Development, highlighted Cornerstone’s recent milestones, including an impressive profit of over N17 billion in the previous year, the prestigious ‘Insurance Company of the Year 2024’ award from the African Insurance Organisation (AIO), and the recognition of Alangbo among the top 25 CEOs of the year by BusinessDay Newspaper.
“None of these achievements would have been possible without your support. We felt it was right and nice to bring everybody in and thank you for your support,” Nwachukwu remarked.
