Are you aware that according to the Nigerian Insurance Act of 2003, any driver caught driving without an auto insurance can receive a fine of up to N250,000 and/or imprisonment for about 1 year?

In Nigeria, the insurance of motor vehicles against the risk of liability for injury to, or death of, third parties caused by the driver’s negligence was made compulsory by the Motor Vehicles (Third Party Insurance) Act 1945, which came into force in 1950.

Don’t break the law, for the law is not respecter of persons. With just N15,000 premium paid in a year to insure you vehicle against third party liabilities, you will escape the hook of the law.

Before you drive your vehicle out from your house, ensure you have a genuine insurance cover which comes inform of third-party, hybrid and comprehensive.

Other dangers of driving without valid insurance policy are:

* Waste of hard earned income.

* Payment of penalties to states, for example, in Lagos State lack of motor insurance attracts N20,000 fine.

* Police harassment and arrest.

* Payment of third party damages.

* Total loss of vehicle if not cover with comprehensive policy.

* Lack of protection against risk arising from the vehicle.

Don’t take the risk, buy a genuine motor insurance policy today for a peace of mind.
