A total of 41 insurers, brokers, risk managers, service providers and industry leaders have emerged as the finalists for the 7th Middle East Insurance Industry Awards.
This year’s awards drew over 200 entries from the MENA region vying for the top honours in 16 categories. The finalists were shortlisted by a panel of 23 judges – comprising CEOs, senior executives, association heads and industry experts – through a remote judging process.
The final round of judging will take place on 20 September to select the winners by a secret ballot – with the results to be announced on 22 November.
“Despite the pandemic and the bleakness of 2020, we received an outstanding number of entries for this year’s awards with many great narratives. This year’s winners will have a bigger responsibility to make the insurance industry stand out,” said Middle East Insurance Review editor-in-chief Sivam Subramaniam.
“We are encouraged by the support of the leaders in the market who have readily served on the panel of judges for the awards despite the great demand of their time and commitment. I take this opportunity to salute the leaders in the region for lending their weight to this yearly event.”
Now in its seventh year, the awards recognise and celebrate the accomplishments of individuals and companies in the insurance sector across the MENA region. The awards aim to boost standards and promote greater professionalism in the market. The award process offers utmost transparency, with clearly defined criteria and judging requirements.
