Hilal Takaful Nigeria Limited has won Business Journal Takaful Insurance Company of the Year 2023 Award.

The award was presented to the firm yesterday at the Business Journal 15th Anniversary Lecture & Award in Lagos.

According to the Publisher of Business Journal, Prince Cookey, Hilal Takaful Nigeria Limited was awarded owing to its contributions to the development of takaful insurance business and by extension the insurance industry.

He applauded the underwriting firm for distinguishing itself by offering unique products and services that meet the needs of insuring public.

Cookey implored management of the firm to sustain the track records that have endeared the company to the public, adding that the award is a wake up call for the company to do more in moving insurance operations forward.

Managing Director Hilal Takaful Nigeria Limited Thaibat Adeniran, appreciated the management of Business Journal for the recognition, stating that the company was instrumental to the institution of takaful insurance in Nigeria.

She noted that when the firm started takaful in Nigeria, there was no regulation, but it ensured that the foundation was properly laid, until regulation came.

She implored the insurance public to embrace takaful as it remains one of the best means to mitigate loss and also provides cash back for policyholders that didn’t make claims in a financial year.

She noted that the award would spur the company to do more in providing robust and people friendly products to the public.
