The estimated volume of business underwritten by the insurance industry in 2015 was N350 billion as against N294 billion written in 2014.
The immediate past President of the Nigerian Insurers Association (NIA) Godwin Wiggle disclosed this today at the association’s 45th Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Lagos.
He noted that the election of new government which led to many policy shifts in polity and other challenges such as epileptic power, decay infrastructure and liquidity squeeze occasioned by falling oil price impacted the industry negatively.
