Lasaco Assurance pays claims of deceased Lagos State local government, SUBEB Staff

Lasaco Assurance Plc was On June 14, 2024 acknowledged and applauded for its pivotal role in paying insurance benefits to the beneficiaries of deceased Lagos State Local Government staff and SUBEB employees.

Under the leadership of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the Lagos State Government has continued to demonstrated its commitment to the well-being of local government staff in collaboration with Lasaco Assurance Plc by approving the disbursement of N353 million as insurance benefits to 128 beneficiaries of the deceased staff.

These beneficiaries include families of deceased staff from both the local government and the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB).

During the recent presentation of cheques to the beneficiaries, held at the Ministry’s conference room in Alausa-Ikeja, the State Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs, and Rural Development, Bolaji Kayode Robert, highlighted the government’s efforts to prioritize the welfare of its workforce.

He mentioned that over the past year, the ministry disbursed N391 million to 264 beneficiaries of Local Government staff and SUBEB, demonstrating the government’s consistent commitment.

Mrs. Kikelomo Bolarinwa, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs, praised Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for his commitment to the well-being of the staff and their families.

She also commended Lasaco Assurance Plc and Haggai Insurance Brokers for their accountability and diligent efforts in ensuring the seamless distribution of the insurance benefits to the beneficiaries.

Mrs. Bolarinwa urged beneficiaries to utilize the funds judiciously in honor of the deceased.
