It was fun and exciting as the 25th Actuarial Science and Insurance Students’ Association of the Lagos State University (LASU) held the maiden edition of Insurance Awareness Day.
The association in collaboration with the department of Insurance, at the event had a walk around the institution to raise awareness on the need and importance of insurance in numerous spheres of life.
The exercise was led by the Head of the Insurance Department Dr. Sunday Ajemunigbohun and President of the Association, Sholaja Mohammed.
Mohammed told Inspenonline that the essence of Insurance
Awareness Day in LASU was to propagate the need for a secured future.
“The program was organized by the 25th ASISA LASU Executives in Conjunction with the Department of Insurance
In order to convey the importance of insurance in numerous spheres of life,” he posited.
According to him, Veritas Kapital Assurance limited was the lead sponsor of the event, adding that the association also received financial support from the National Council of Registered Insurance brokers (NCRIB) and other insurance companies.
He appreciated the role played by representatives from Sterling Assurance company limited.
