The National Insurance Commission (NAICOM) has approved the 2016 financial accounts of 32 insurance firms and one Reinsurance.
According to the status of financial statements of insurance companies as at 13, June 2017, made available to Inspenonline by NAICOM, 41 firms have so far submitted their accounts.
NAICOM noted that the accounts of Standard Alliance General Insurance; Guinea Insurance; Nigeria Re and United Metropolitan Nigeria Life were queried, while those of Linkage Assurance; Sterling Assurance and KBL Insurance are under review.
The regulator noted that those which the response they made on the query issued to them are under review include, ARM Life and Niger Insurance.
