The Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance Brokers (NCRIB) has felicitated the first female President of the Council, Barrister Mrs. Laide Osijo on her appointment as a Council Member of the Federal University of Dutsin-Ma, Katsina State.
The appointment of Osijo was amongst those made by the Federal Government into the Councils of Nigerian federal universities, recently.
In a letter of felicitations, the President of the Council, Prince Babatunde Oguntade, noted that the appointment was well deserved, given the rich professional and academic pedigree of Mrs. Osijo, both as a Lawyer and a Frontline Insurance Broker.
The NCRIB President said it was most heartwarming that the appointment came at the time when the current leadership of the Council placed significant value on strategic relationships with government institutions, noting that Mrs. Osijo would add value to the topmost decision making body of the institution.
Barrister Laide Osijo was the pioneer female President of the Council under whose tenure the Council recorded significant structural and human capital development, lifting the profile and reputation of the institution to an enviable height.
