The Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance Brokers Lagos Area Committee (NCRIB-LAC) in partnership with a reinsurance expert Kehinde Adeyemi, are presently conducting training for secondary school insurance teachers and would award registration of Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN) examinations to three of the best participants.
The Chairman NCRIB-LAC Olufemi Oduwole, said the Committee and its partner have an ongoing Train the Teachers on Insurance for 4 weekends in January, 2025, which are dated January 4; January 11; January 18 and January 25.
He noted that the training billed for tomorrow January 18, will be facilitated by Chief Executive Officer EMDI Capacity Development Limited and former Chairman of NCRIB-LAC Mrs. Bukola Ifemade.
“We are conducting test for the teacher at the end of each lecture. The best 3 teachers will be awarded a cash gift and an award to register for the CIIN exams, courtesy NCRIB (LAC) in collaboration with Kehinde Adeyemi, a Re Insurance expert,” he posited.
One of the participants who shared an experience said: “I am incredibly grateful to have participated in this insightful training on insurance, organized for 1,000 teachers.
“According to the Ogun State Business Studies Scheme of Work, the topic for this week and next week is Insurance, and this training has significantly enhanced my understanding of the subject.
“It has enabled me to delve deeper into the topic, making my lessons more engaging and impactful for my students. I sincerely appreciate the organisers for equipping us with this valuable knowledge, which will undoubtedly improve the quality of our teaching.”
