The Chairman of Mutual Benefits Assurance Plc, Dr. Akin Ogunbiyi, has said secret of the great strides being recorded by the company is giving thanks and praises to God Almighty.

He disclosed this today at the firm’s 29th annual thanksgiving service in Lagos, stressing that the firm was built on God right from inception and that God has being faithful to the company.

Ogunbiyi narrated how God has come through for the company at various times of challenges, noting that it took God’s intervention for the company to emerged from one of the recapitalisations had in years past.

He noted that the board, management and staff would remain ever grateful to God for His goodness and mercies.

He also appreciated all the people that have remained committed to the company right from inception, pledging that the firm would continue to sustain the legacies laid over the years.

He submitted that despite the economic maladies, the company has continued to thrive and meet promises made to policyholders.

He maintained that due to strategic investments decisions made by the company in recent years, the company would soon become a clear leader in the insurance industry.

He appreciated the past Commissioners of Insurance Fola Daniel and Sunday Thomas, who were at the event for their continuous support to the growth of the company.

The Managing Director Mutual Benefits Assurance Plc, Femi Asenuga, said the company has remained strong amid challenges it had witnessed, a factor he attributed to God’s mercy and grace.

He said in spite the harsh business climate witnessed in the country last year, Mutual Benefit Group was able to gross N40 billion.

The Senior Pastor, The Covenant Nation, Pastor Peju Oyemade, who was the guest minister at the event, while speaking on the theme: ‘Thus Far has the Lord Helped Us’ which was drawn from I Samuel 7:12, noted that God cherishes and bless those who give thanks.

He applauded the company for chosen to give thanks to God at the end of their financial year.

He charged participants at the event to give thanks to God for the gesture they enjoy from him regularly.

Members of Mutual Benefits’ Assurance Choir thrilled attendants with different melodious songs, which made them danced to the glory of God.
