The Professional Insurance Ladies Association (PILA) has joined forces with the National Insurance Commission (NAICOM) to ensure zero tolerance for non-settlement of claims.
This and many other resolutions were reached, when the executive of PILA
ably led by the President Bimbo Onakomaiya, who is also the Managing Director of Peakthrust Insurance Brokers Limited paid a courtesy call to the Commissioner of Insurance, Olusegun Omosehin and his team – Deputy Commissioners Technical and Finance & Admin, Dr. Usman Jankara and Ekerete Ola Gam-Ikon and other top management of NAICOM in Abuja recently.
At the event PILA pledged to partner the supervisory regulatory body in the achievement of its 4-year strategic plan.
The esteemed women in insurance brainstormed with the regulator on other relevant matters such as; diversity, equity and Inclusion; zero tolerance for non-settlement of claims; data capturing of both women In insurance as well as women’s accessibility to insurance; safeguarding the interest of policyholders; directorate of innovation encapsulating Insuretech; stability and soundness of our professional operators and penetration and access to insurance.
The Commissioner for Insurance Segun Omosehin, applauded the role of PILA in advancing insurance growth and pledged NAICOM’s support to the growth of the association.
