Certified Pension Institute of Nigeria inducts fellows, associates

The Certified Pension Institute of Nigeria (CPIN) has inducted 11 fellows and seven associates, even as it now parades over4,000 members making great impacts in various organisations and sub-sectors of the economy.
President/Chairman of Council of CPIN Umaru Kwairanga, said the institute membership pursuit is scholastic and scientific, stressing that members would continue to use their professional competence and capacity to help the country achieve her transformation by jointly addressing issues militating against pension growth.
He noted that the institute’s fellows and associated are distinguished and accomplished individuals in pension practice and associated financial services in Nigeria whilst imploring the inductees to be good ambassadors of Institute in their various organisations by conducts; professional utterances and interest of the body.
Kwairanga submitted that the Council is working assiduously to attain a Chartered status for the institute, pledging that by God’s grace the vision will be achieved in 2026.

The Institute’s Executive Secretary Dr. Samson Akinyemi, said the fellow is the highest level of membership of the institute, noting that to become a fellow, the candidate must have satisfied the Council that he/she has possessed the associate certificate of the institute for not less than seven years immediately preceding the date of application.
According to him, the individual must be a holder of an approved academic qualification and has creditably held a senior management position n a pension management company or related company or a senior lecturer in higher educational institution for a period of not less than seven years.
Dr. Akinyemi maintained that to become an associate of the institute, the candidate must have been employed in a pension management or related field and has passed the prescribed examination of the institute and is also a fit and proper person to be enrolled in the register.
An employee of Premium Pension Limited Quadri Lukman, who bagged a fellow status and spoke on behalf of the inductees said they would uphold the tenets and integrity of the Institute by esteeming professionalism and ethics.
The inducted fellows are: Dr. Mustapha Mohammed; Kari Abubakar; Abdulrahman Sambo; Olufemi Awodimibola; Maryam Mohammed; Aminu Safana; Oluwakemi Aroyehun; Zainab Abdullahi; Quadri Lukman; Ramatu Nasir and Akinola Akinyemi.
The associates are: Esejindu Tochukwu; Kuje Umbugadu; Aliyu Bilikisu; Bright Aiyanyor; Abdullahim Shehu; Yahuza Ibrahim and Ndubuisi Ogba.
