The Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN) has officially announced the launch of its maiden Insurance Week, scheduled to hold from June 27 to July 4 2025, across Lagos, Ibadan, Port Harcourt, and Kano.
This landmark initiative seeks to deepen public awareness of the role of insurance in everyday life, strengthen industry collaboration, and showcase the profession’s contribution to national development.
With the theme “Insurance for All: Securing Nigeria’s Future”, the week-long event will feature a series of activities designed to reposition the insurance industry as a critical driver of stability and resilience.
Speaking at the official briefing, the President and Chairman of Council, Mrs Yetunde Ilori, highlighted the strategic importance of the initiative, expressing confidence in its capacity to foster trust and engagement among the insuring public.
Echoing this sentiment, the Chairman of the Organising Committee and Past President of the Institute, Eddie Efekoha, affirmed that the programme has been meticulously planned to leave a lasting impression on stakeholders and ignite renewed enthusiasm for the industry.
As Managing Director of Guinea Insurance Plc Ademola Abidogun, a serving member of the CIIN Governing Council said: “I am pleased to lend my full support to this bold and timely endeavour. I encourage all stakeholders, insurers, practitioners, and the general public to participate wholeheartedly in the scheduled activities.
“A united show of presence and purpose will not only ensure the success of this inaugural outing but also reinforce the value of insurance in shaping a more secure and inclusive future for all Nigerians.”
