Annuitants with African Alliance Insurance Plc have taken their seven months unpaid pension benefits plight to the federal government.
They have called on President Bola Tinubu, to intervene and ensure their matter is addressed to enable them live comfortably in retirement.
The annuitants who have form cluster groups are pushing their issue leveraging their contacts.
One of the annuitants told Inspenonline that life has not being easy for them, as they have been without any source of income for seven months, stating that some of their colleagues have died while awaiting the benefits.
He implored the National Insurance Commission (NAICOM) to use its regulatory power to assist them.
He also suggested that to stem similar occurrence in the future, the government should set up a body like Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC) to manage affairs of policyholders of failed insurance companies.
