Coronation Insurance, Coronation Life Assurance host 3-day retreat to boost retail sales agency performance, excellence

Coronation Insurance Plc and Coronation Life Assurance Limited recently concluded a three-day retreat session for their retail sales agency workforce.

The retreat held from August 21 to 23, 2025, at the LimeRIDGE Signature Hotel, Ikeja GRA, Lagos.

The retreat, themed “Together. Inspired. Succeed.” was designed to strengthen collaboration, inspire innovation and equip managers with practical strategies to drive sales and deliver exceptional customer outcomes. 

A total of 60 participants, including regional managers, agency and unit sales managers from all over the country, internal stakeholders and a few external speakers, attended the event. 

It also featured a rich lineup of sessions addressing sales mastery, digital innovation, leadership, emotional intelligence and the unique Coronation approach to excellence.

Speakers included Chukwuma Ibobo, who spoke on Sales Mastery for Selling Insurance in 2025; Olatunde Victor Adeoluwa, on Digital Selling with Today’s Customer; Obafemi Oshinowo, on Coaching and Mentoring as Growth Engines; Leslie George, on Emotional Intelligence; Ken Njoku, on Leadership as an Act of Service; and Adeola Obisesan, who shared more insights on The Coronation Way.

A highlight of the retreat was a panel discussion where internal stakeholders engaged and shared various transformations happening across the organisation that will drive sales and business operations in a fast and reliable way via digital tools and processes.

In addition, the managers received practical, actionable solutions for immediate and long-term resolution.

Sharing his thoughts, Babafemi Ayotunde, Head of Retail Sales Agency, remarked:“The retreat was a timely reminder of the power of collaboration. Bringing managers, stakeholders, and facilitators together created a space where ideas flowed and solutions emerged.

“It reaffirmed our commitment to building a stronger, more innovative retail sales force.”Kenechukwu Enukora, an Agency Manager, also added:“The retreat was refreshing. I left with new ideas and tools that I can immediately apply to help my team perform better. It also reminded me why teamwork and innovation are essential for growth.”

The organisers emphasized that the retreat reflects Coronation’s ongoing commitment to building people, empowering its retail agency network, and becoming a Leader in Nigeria’s insurance industry.
