Cornerstone Insurance Plc donates computer sets to Crescent University

Sustaining its support to development of the education sector, Cornerstone Insurance Plc and the subsidiaries – FIN Insurance Limited and Hilal Takaful Nigeria, have donated sets of Computers to Crescent University Abeokuta, Ogun State.

Group Managing Director Cornerstone Insurance Plc Stephen Alangbo, said the donation was to support the good works the University is doing in transforming and impacting citizens with relevant knowledge and skill.

Alangbo, who was represented at the event by the General Manager Business Development, Cornerstone Insurance Plc Charles Nwachukwu, noted that the company is proud to associate with the University and would continue to partner the University to engender growth and development.

He submitted that Cornerstone Insurance Plc is a-one-:stop-shop for financial services, adding that Cornerstone Insurance is a composite company underwriting Non-life and Life businesses and the group consist; Cornerstone Insurance; FIN Insurance and Hilal Takaful.

According to him, the group recorded N42 billon Gross Premium Written (GPW) and paid N8 billion claims in year 2024.

He commended the University management for instilling discipline in the students, a virtue necessary for economic growth.

He said the sets of computers would help enhance digital knowledge in the University.

The Vice Chancellor of the University Prof. Ibraheem Gboyabiamila, commended the management of Cornerstone Insurance and the subsidiaries for the donation, stating that the University has been blessed with such donations from reputable organisations and individuals.

He noted that owing to the strides recorded by the University since inception, it has students from every states of the country.

He noted that the Computer Based Test (CBT) centre to which the computers would be deployed needs over 500 computers, adding that the centre which has been accredited by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) would be opened to 150 students in the forthcoming examination.
