Government Senior College Ketu, Epe Lagos wins NCRIB-LAC quiz competition

It was a great display of knowledge at the third edition of the Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance Brokers Lagos Area Committee (NCRIB-LAC) Secondary School Quiz Competition, which Government Senior College Ketu, Epe, Lagos emerged as the winner.

The competition which held today in Lagos, was keenly contested by 12 Senior Secondary Schools in Lagos.

The second position was won by Government Senior Model College Ikorodu, while the third position was won by Isashi Senior Grammer School Isashi, Ojo and Ijaiye Ojokoro Senior High School Ijaiye, Lagos.

Speaking at the event the Chairman NCRIB-LAC Olufemi Oduwole, commended the schools for their participation in the competition, whilst encouraging the teachers to take up insurance professional exams and the students to choose insurance as a course and career.

He said the Committee would continue to advance insurance education through reaching out to younger Nigerians, who he considered as the future hope of the insurance industry.

The NCRIB President Mrs. Ekeoma Ezeibe, who was represented at the event by the Executive Secretary of NCRIB Tope Adaramola, expressed delight on sustenance of the quiz completion by Oduwole led administration.

She was happy to have the students who she considered as potential insurance operators and consumers.

She noted that insurance remains one of the best professions to practice, noting that it avails people an opportunity to practice till they die.

She implored the the students to be insurance evangelists by enquiring from them parents insurance status of their assets.

The past President of Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN) Edwin Igbiti, commended the students for their display of knowledge of insurance, while encouraging them to make a career in insurance.

The students and their teachers expressed appreciation to the leadership of NCRIB-LAC for providing the platform for them to showcase their talents.

The winners and their fellow contestants were rewarded with gifts, whilst the NCRIB-LAC leadership pledged to award them their prizes at an elaborate ceremony.
