Guild of Marine Surveyors holds workshop on container insurance, risk management

The Guild of Marine Surveyors will, on November 20, 2025, hold a workshop on container insurance and risk management.

The President of the Guild, Wale Adetoro, said the workshop is themed: ‘Enhancing Safety and Efficiency in the use and Handling of Containers in Marine Trade’.

He said the Managing Director Standard Superintendent Company Limited, Young Chukwu, has been chosen as one of the Speakers and that he will be speaking on the topic; ‘Container Inspection and Insurance Survey – An Overview, ‘ while the Managing Director Inland Container Nigeria Limited, Omotayo Dada, will speak on the topic, ‘Container Transportation & Logistics in Nigeria’.

According to Adetoro, the workshop is being organised for Marine Surveyors; Marine Insurance Underwriters; Shipping Agencies; Freight Forwarders; Exporters and Importers; Logistics & Leasing Companies and Port Operators.

He said the physical attendance fee is N60,000, while it is N45,000 for members of the Guild of Marine Surveyors and virtual attendance fee is N45,000, while that of Guild of Marine Surveyors is N30,000.

The workshop payment, he said, should be made into Eco Bank account number 3151000506 or Access Bank 0807212804 with the name Guild of Marine Surveyors, noting that registration closes by November 15, 2025.
