The Head Strategy NEM Insurance Plc Julius Elusakin, has enumerated how Insurance can improve the lives of young engineers.
He disclosed this yesterday, while speaking at the SEES Light-Up conference organised by the Electrical and Electronics Department of University of Lagos.
Speaking on the theme; ‘Beyond the Theories’ he gave an insight on life after campus as an engineer; career choice in engineering and the importance of insurance to the engineering profession.

He told the students that beyond engineering safety rules as risk prevention measures, taught in the classroom, insurance plays a key role in mitigating their operation risks and also supports the business continuity strategy especially if they want to play big in the profession.
According to him, insurance policies that are relevant to the engineering profession include: Personal Accident Policy, Professional Indemnity, Engineering All Risks, Computer & Electronics Policy, Industrial All Risk, Public & Product Liabilities Policy, Cybersecurity Insurance Policy amongst others.

He appreciated the organisers of the event, with special reference to the SEES-UNILAG exco led by their visionary president Sunmisola Ganikale and the entire Electrical/Electronic & Computer Engineering Department led by the HOD, Professor Peter O. Oluseyi.
Julius Elusakin is a COREN-registered engineer and Associate Member of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (ACIIN).

He holds an MSc in Engineering and an MBA (Finance) from the University of Lagos. He currently serves as Head of Strategy at NEM Insurance Plc.
