Insurers target youths in multi-billion rebrand project

Getting the youths to embrace insurance is the core mandate in the planned multi-billion rebrand campaign by insurance operators, Inspen can report.

It was gathered that insurance operators are working assiduously with the consultant engaged for the project to evolve a robust campaign that would help stem the negative perception on insurance.

The Vice Chairman Sub Committee Publicity of the Insurers Committee and Managing Director Zenith Insurance Company Limited, Ebelechukwu Nwachukwu, at a press conference today in Lagos, said the operators, hope to take the campaign to schools to enable them educate pupils on the need for insurance.

She also noted that the operators are eying the highly mobile individuals who need insurance to secure their future.

She posited that in line with the campaign, the operators have also resolved to improve on their service delivery, adding that the body have decided to pull resources together to pursue a robust and well coordinated awareness campaign.

Nwachukwu, maintained that all necessary channels would by used to drive the campaign, adding that the youth market remains a veritable haven for insurance growth.

She noted that eight sub committee assigned with different responsibilities on reforming the industry have submitted their reports, adding that the reports would be properly examined to ensure the set objectives are achieved.

According to him, the rebranding exercise which is a total package would help improve insurance patronage and services in the country.
