I am honoured to celebrate you on behalf of the Nigerian Insurers Association (NIA), the umbrella body for insurance and reinsurance companies in Nigeria, as we commemorate the 2025 International Women’s Day (IWD).
The NIA, established in 1971, is committed to protecting and advancing the common interests of insurers in Nigeria.
The association is also dedicated to supporting initiatives that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion, and we will continue to work with our member companies to create a more level playing field for women.
This year’s IWD theme: “Accelerate Action,” resonates deeply with our values and mission. We are proud to be part of a global movement that recognizes the importance of women’s empowerment and gender equality and will continue to accelerate action towards creating a more inclusive and equitable industry, where women can thrive and reach their full potential rapidly.
To our female insurers, I salute your dedication, resilience, and innovative spirit. Your invaluable contributions to the growth and development of the insurance industry in Nigeria are a testament to your hard work and determination. You have broken barriers, defied stereotypes, and inspired a new generation of women to pursue careers in insurance.
To women globally, your unwavering determination and relentless pursuit of excellence are truly inspiring. As we celebrate your achievements, I want to highlight the critical role insurance plays in securing your financial well-being.
Insurance empowers you to build resilience, drive economic growth, and break free from poverty by providing a financial safety net, protecting your assets, and offering peace of mind.
