In a bold move to uphold the integrity and authenticity of the Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance Brokers (NCRIB), President Prince Babatunde Oguntade has announced that any letter or bid without the Council’s seal will no longer be honored.
This decision aims to prevent fraudulent activities and ensure that all communications and transactions are genuine and authorized.
According to Prince Oguntade, this measure was necessary to safeguard the interests of the Council and its members.
He noted that the NCRIB seal serves as verification of authenticity, and its absence would render any document or bid invalid.
Speaking at the February edition of the Council’s Members’ Evening, hosted by Rex Insurance Limited, today in Lagos, the President noted that this development was in line with the Council’s efforts to promote transparency, accountability, and professionalism in the insurance industry.
He urged Members to comply with the usage of seal in all their transactions to give more credibility to the professionalism of insurance broking practice in Nigeria.
He said, “the NCRIB has been working tirelessly to strengthen its regulatory framework and enforce strict standards of conduct among its members”.
As part of the Council’s initiatives to deepen insurance, the President hinted that the 2025 Chief Executive Officers’ Retreat would be held in Kano in the month of June.

He explained noted that the rationale behind the initiative was to ensure that the gospel of insurance was taken to the nooks and crannies of the entire country.
