Insurance professionals have congratulated the Rector College of Insurance and Financial Management (CIFM) Dr. Chizoba Ehiogu, on the award of Fellow by the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN) and for emerging as the overall Best Fellow in the year 2025 Fellowship Award of the Institute.

Patience Ugboajah, Kemi Adegboye, Head, Facilities Management and Admin, Continental Re and Tobi Osanaiye, Operations Unit, FBS Re, in a congratulatory message to Dr. Chizoba Ehiogu, applauded her contributions to the growth of the Nigerian insurance industry, noting that she has distinguished herself as Nigeria’s first female PhD holder in Insurance.
They noted that the Fellow status accorded her was well deserved, noting that her contributions to the insurance industry through the College of Insurance and Financial Management are well acknowledged.
They assured the Rector of the professional support towards the growth and developments of the College of Insurance and Financial Management.
They also extended their heartfelt congratulations to other recipients of the fellow award, urging them to uphold the conference reposed on them by the CIIN and ensure that they esteem ethics and professionalism.
Dr. Chizoba Ehiogu is recognized as Nigeria’s first female PhD holder in Insurance and currently serves as the Rector of the College of Insurance and Financial Management (CIFM).
Dr. Ehiogu holds a Ph.D. in Insurance and is an Associate and Fellow of several professional bodies, including the Chartered Institute of Insurance of Nigeria (CIIN) and the Chartered Institute of Loss Management (CILRM).
She emerged as the overall Best Fellow in the year 2025 Fellowship Award of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN)
As the Rector of the CIFM, she leads the institution responsible for professional education and training in the Nigerian insurance sector.
Her professional experience as an insurance and risk management consultant spans areas such as market development, insurance education, financial inclusion, and business sustainability.
She has authored and co-authored research articles related to insurance and economic growth, which can be found via sources like Google Scholar.
Dr. Ehiogu is a frequent speaker and panelist at insurance conferences and webinars.
