Third-party motor insurance works, get it use it campaign starts today

Building on the successes being recorded in the enforcement of motor insurance third-party by the Nigeria Police, practitioners in the insurance sector have launched a robust campaign to ensure better public understanding.

The Head Communication and Stakeholders Management Sub-committee, Insurers’ Committee and Managing Director Rex Insurance Limited Mrs. Ebelechukwu Nwachukwu, at a press conference today in Lagos, said the three weeks campaign christened ‘Third Party Motor Insurance Works, Get It, Use It’ which commenced today, would support the enforcement by the Police, through robust awareness creation; promotion of purchase of authentic insurance policies; enhance knowledge on policy verification and lodgement of genuine complaints.

According to her the campaign will run across the country leveraging radio; newspapers and social media platforms.

She implored the public to utilize the opportunity created by the campaign to seek more knowledge on insurance and also share their experiences with the sector during the campaign.

She called on people with genuine claims to lodge their complaints through platforms provided by the National Insurance Commission (NAICOM); Nigerian insurers Association (NIA) and Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance Brokers (NCRIB), whilst pledging that all genuine complaints would be attended to and be resolved.

According to her the campaign is sponsored by the various arms of the insurance industry.
