When policyholders may reject insurers prayers

When your insurance company prays that you will have a claim, don’t say amen, without considering the consequences.

You should understand that claims are paid when policyholders suffer loses. As no reasonable person would wish to suffer loses on treasured assets, including life, the prayers to have claims shouldn’t be consumed quickly.

When people complain of not having claims after long years of buying insurance, I do relate it to a house owner complaining of paying his security personnel even when he has not been attacked or robbed by hoodlums.

While insurance is similar to the fees paid to security personnel, it should not be considered as a waste because risk didn’t occur.

As you insure your life and properties, never pray to have a claim or say amen to the prayers of your insurer for you to have a claim, for doing so amounts to asking for an evil occurrence.

The irony is that, on a daily basis, you inadvertently pray not to have claims as you ask God for protection of your life and properties.

What praying for claims may cause you.

Inconvenience: Suffering a lost would definitely make you suffer inconvenience irrespective of the claims to be paid.

Falling Ill would give you access to health insurance claims, but it is better to remain healthy and continue with your chores than being inactive and drawing medical claims.

Continuing with your production process is better than, halting operations because of fire or flood and getting claims.

Competition

The period of claims payment may give your competitors an edge over you. It better to continue in meeting targets than expecting claims which have to cut down your targets.

Stand still

Claims are meant to restore you to the position you were before you suffered a lost. If the claims payment is delayed, you would lost some opportunities as you stood still while the claims are processed.

As risks come unannounced, insure your life and assets and move on with life believing that it should be well with you.
