It is with great pleasure and honor that I welcome you all to the Year 2024 Fellows’ Event of our prestigious Institute. Your dedication and expertise in the insurance industry have not only enriched the Institute but also paved the way for excellence in our field.

As Fellows of this esteemed Institute, we carry a responsibility not only to uphold the highest standards of professionalism but also to champion inclusivity and accessibility within the insurance sector.

Today, we have come together to celebrate the accomplishments and knowledge shared among our fellows, let us take this opportunity to reflect on the impactful work that has been done and to look ahead to the opportunities that lie before us.

Your commitment to innovation, professional growth and ethical practice sets a standard within the industry that inspires us all.Our Industry plays a fundamental role in safeguarding individuals, businesses, and communities against unforeseen risks, and it is incumbent upon us to ensure that the benefits of insurance are accessible to all.

Hence, the essence of the theme “Bridging the Gap: Ensuring Access and Inclusivity in Insurance – A Call to Action for Fellows,” this topic resonates deeply with our collective mission and vision.

The theme of today’s event underscores the imperative for us to actively address the gaps that exist in insurance accessibility and inclusivity.

I beseech you to give our guest lecturer, Mr. Ayo Bammeke, a premium audience as he takes us through this theme Whether it be geographical barriers, socio-economic disparities, or cultural differences, we must strive to break down these barriers and extend the protective umbrella of insurance to every corner of our society.
