SPEECH DELIVERED BY MRS FUNMI OMO, MD/CEO, ENTERPRISE LIFE ASSURANCE NIGERIA, AT THE MEMBERS’ EVENING OF THE NIGERIAN COUNCIL OF REGISTERED INSURANCE BROKERS ON TUESDAY, 6TH DECEMBER 2022.
• The President, the Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance Brokers,
• The Governing Council of NCRIB,
• All Members of NCRIB here present,
• The Management and Staff of the only Advantage Insurer, Enterprise Life Assurance Nigeria,
• My Friends in the Media,
• All Stakeholders here present,
• Guests and Friends.
I stand here on this day, the 6th of December 2022, to share with you, fellow stakeholders, the Advantage that Enterprise Life Assurance Nigeria represents to you, and for you, in insuring risks in Nigeria.
I am delighted to be here, as always, knowing well that it is a huge privilege to host the last Members’ Evening of the NCRIB in 2022. I bring you the best wishes of the Board, Management and Staff of our dear company, Enterprise Life Assurance Nigeria.
I recall that sometime last year, we were here to sell you the Advantage of doing business with us. While we are not unaware of the jostle for your attention and patronage, we came here with a difference and a sincere commitment to collaborate with you for mutually beneficial rewards. I must thank you for accepting us, doing business with us, and, indeed, showing us why NCRIB is the elite body of Insurance Brokers in these climes. At Enterprise Life Assurance Nigeria, our ongoing mandate is to meet changing customer needs with new offerings, enhance interactions, and build trusted relationships and strategic alliances. These we have fulfilled across various customer segments, of which yours is a critical one.
Talking about new offerings, in the short time we started business in Nigeria, we have introduced a couple of new products, some of which you have taken advantage of, into the market.
Our Family Care Plan helps provide a shield against the uncertainties of life, and our Income Protection Plan guarantees income remains steady if life happens.
In terms of building strategic alliances and collaborating with relevant stakeholders to grow our business, you can attest to how far we have gone. We recognise and appreciate the unique role that brokers play not just as intermediaries but as our trusted business advisors and partners.
An African proverb says if you want to go far, go with someone; if you want to go fast, go alone. As much as we want to go fast, we realise that in life, the steadier, the better. For us, the journey is more important than the destination, so we would instead choose to go far, having you by our side, rather than going nowhere fast. I daresay, our dear partners, that the journey has been a most productive one with you beside us. For this, we thank you all.
2023 is upon us. Many projections have been made in several outlooks for the year. At Enterprise Life, we are fully ready. Ready to help you brokers grow vertically and laterally, prepared to aid our dear policyholders’ quest for a truly protected new year. Your contribution to our 2022 was, without a doubt, telling on our business; now, we want more. Like the boy Oliver Twist, we won’t stop asking for more. More patronage and, indeed, more of your valued guidance and advice as we grow our portfolio and share of the market.
Enterprise Life is excited about this opportunity to collaborate with the Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance Brokers and forge a lasting and mutually beneficial relationship. We do not take this for granted.
As the year rolls to an end, I pray the Almighty grants us life and keep us for many wonderful years in the best of health. In all you’re doing, choose the Advantage that Enterprise Life alone can give as you prepare for the New Year.
I thank my dear Egbon, Barrister Rotimi Edu, the President of the Council of the NCRIB, for his continuous support, drive, and mentorship. I must also appreciate the super Council of NCRIB for being there for us whenever we need them. May God continue to prosper us all.
Thank you all for listening.
Long live NCRIB
Long live Enterprise Life Assurance Nigeria
God bless Nigeria.
