Winner of 2024 ARIAN football tournaments to bag N500,000

The winning team of the 2024 Association of Registered Insurance Agents of Nigeria (ARIAN) football tournaments, kicking off Saturday, May 4, in Lagos, will go home with N500,000.

The National President of ARIAN Kazeem Odewunmi; who disclosed this at a press conference today in Lagos, said nine team drawn from insurance companies would be participating in the tournaments, adding that the team that emerged second, would be awarded N300,000 and the third position N200,000.

He said this year’s tournaments, which is the third edition, and will be holding at Armed Forces Resettlement Centre, Charity, Oshodi, Lagos, is expected to help create more awareness on insurance and also bring insurance practitioners together and making them fit in carrying out their operations.

He implored the public to come and watch the talented sportsmen display their talents, whilst calling on local and international football coaches to come and harness potentials at the event.

The Public Relation Officer of ARIAN, Kayode Ogunwuyi, said the tournaments is part of the association’s contributions to sport development and promotion of peace in the country, stressing that sport, especially football has remained a unifying factor in Nigeria.

He assured the public of adequate security, stressing that the association has put in place every necessary measure to ensure spectators are well secured.

He further appreciated companies that have continued to support the tournaments, whilst craving more supports.

National Social Director of ARIAN, Mayowa Olatubosun, said the tournaments over the years has continued to improve as new incentives are added by the association.

According to him, the tournaments has helped improved bonding amongst insurance practitioners, stating that companies now look forward to the tournament owing to the social relationship it engenders.
