FBA Mentors Program inducts new mentees

Funmi Babington-Ashaye (FBA) Mentors Program has inducted new mentees in its 3rd cohort.

The Founder FBA Mentors Program, an online program, Dr. Funmi Babington-Ashaye, at the event which was also attended by the esteemed mentors, congratulated the mentees, assuring them that by the end of the nine months mentoring period, they would not be who they used to be, as they would have increased in knowledge and wisdom in every area of their life.

“It is important to mention that to get the best out of this mentoring program, you need to make yourself available and be committed to the program. It is what you put into the program that you get out of the program,” she told the mentees.

She submitted that the first thing to do as mentees is to share their goals and aspirations with their mentors, stressing that it is important, mentees tell mentors what exactly they need from them.

“Set SMART goals together with her. ( Goals that are Specific, measurable, Achievable Realistic and Time bound). Your mentors responsibility is guide you towards the achievement of your set goals.

“Ensure you keep up till the end and follow through. Be willing to learn, be proactive and take initiatives. Always be prepared for your meeting with your mentors and make the relationship mutually beneficial,” she counselled.

She submitted that the body has highly experienced mentors to support the mentees, stating that among the mentors are managing directors of Insurance companies; successful entrepreneurs and pastors and that some even combined all these titles.

According to her, the Foundation is really blessed to have the mentors.
